Documenting Permission

• If you receive permission from a copyright holder to include their copyrighted material on this site, you must attach proof that documents that permission to the page on which the copyrighted material appears.

Procedure

• Scan or photograph the signed letter granting permission into either a PDF file or a JPeg image.
• Click the button labeled "attach" on the page where the copyrighted material appears.
• Browse to the file on your computer that contains the image of the letter
• Enter a description in the Comment field that includes the phrase "Copyright Permission"
• Make sure the "Create a link to the attached file" is not checked.
• Make sure the "Do not show attachment in table" is checked.
• click the "Upload file" button.
